The Wacken Open Air Festival takes place on between 31st July 2008 to 2nd August 2008. Wacken is a small town in Germany with only 3000 inhabitants, but for a week at beginning of August it is home to 30,000 rockers.

So where is Wacken?

well it is 50km North West of Hamburg. Organiser of Wacken have annonced the first few acts for the 2008 Festival.

How to get to Wacken

The easiest way from the UK is to fly to either Airport-Lübeck or Airport-Hamburg and then hire a car to drive to Wacken, you can drive direct to Wacken from Lubeck without going through Hamburg.

Wacken Festival by Coach

Argon Events are running coaches from the UK, they offer coaches to Germany, and then a choice of hotel or camping packages.
