The Isle of Wight Festival 2008 has added to an already fantastic line up. New acts added today include Amy MacDonald, Starsailor, Newton Faulkner, The Answer, One Night Only, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Blackstone Cherry and the Delays they will all play the 3 day event on the isles on 13th, 14th & 15th June 2008. These acts will be joining the headliners Kaiser Chiefs, Sex Pistols and The Police and will play alongside N.E.R.D, Ian Brown, The Kooks, Lily Allen, KT Tunstall, The Zutons, The Enemy, Iggy and The Stooges, The Hoosiers and Scouting for Girls.

Newton Faulkner had an excellent 2007 and has an Brit Award nomination for Best British Male Solo Artist, Newton Faulkner will swap Sussex for the Solent this summer. He will play songs from his No. 1, platinum selling debut album ‘Hand Built By Robots’.

Amy Macdonald will showcase her ‘This is the Life’ album which has knocked Radiohead off the top spot

Starsailor are now festival scene veterans and will be returning to the isle of wight festival this year. Debutants include Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, The Answer, One Night Only and Blackstone Cherry, plus Southampton’s very own Delays.

The Isle of Wight festival has being going now for 7 years since it was resurrect. The festival entertain 50,000 up for it fans, and is family friendly.
Last year it won Best Major UK Festival and Outstanding Contribution to Festivals (awarded to John Giddings.

The Isle of Wight Festival takes place 13th – 15th June at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
