The lady who took the infamous photos Annie Leibovitz has issued a statement to apologies about the semi-topless picture she took of Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus.
Annie Leibovitz said
I’m sorry that my portrait of Miley has been misinterpreted. Miley and I looked at fashion photographs together, and we discussed the picture in that context before we shot it.
“The photograph is a simple, classic portrait, shot with very little make-up, and I think it is very beautiful.”
Miley Cyrus has been quoted as saying she was “embarrassed” by the pictures taken by Annie Leibovitz.

I have to say that I just saw the picture and it isn’t as bad as i thought it was going to be. It is artistic even though she looks terrible, like the girl from The Ring. Yet still I am disapointed. In a magazine it was said that Miley was one of the better Hollywood starlets because she was a role model to her young fans, but, although this was done as art she should have kept her clothes on because honey, no matter how good looking you are(even though I don’t think so)keep your clothes on! YOU ARE 15 YEARS OLD! Stop trying to grow up so fast!

I’m so sick of people dissing her about this photo shoot. The girl had pants on underneath for crying out loud. All it is a replication of the Les Miserables figure. Good grief. People have nothing better to do than to criticize a 15 year old girl about covering her chest with a sheet. What losers.

I agree with Olivia, she is only 15, and even though its not all that bad, you have to stop and think, why the hell would she agree to even take off her top, and I think that it is crazy that she calims now to be embaressed by the photos. I mean, why would you publish something that you might regret later? I think that she liked them until they got her in trouble, she didn’t think about the consiquences until it was too late, and now she’s desperate to make it look like she always hated the photos, but, she is only 15 and people shouldn’t be so hard on her, she probably just wants to feel sexy. Its a stage, everyone goes through it, the real question is why did her parents think it was okay to put out a picture of their daughter topless?
