Madonna to headline BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend
The BBC have pulled off a major coup, Madonna is to headline the Radio 1 Big Weekend from Maidstone.
The big weekend takes place at Mote Park Maidstone Kent on the weekend of 10 - 11th May 2008.
The big weekend is in its 7th year and is famous for attracting some of the biggest stars from the UK and the rest of the world.
Acts who have played the big weekend in the past include Scissor Sisters, Franz Ferdinand, Keane, Muse, Pink, Foo Fighters, Muse, The Streets, Gwen Stefani and so many more.

The big weekend grew out of the successful One Big Sunday free open air shows. The success of these events led to the Big Weekend which contains the biggest
tent in europe with a 10,000 capacity.
There will be four stages the Main stage for the big acts, the New Music we trust stage for radio 1 evening show bands.
There is also a dance music stage and this year there will also be a BBC Introducing Stage.
In the evenings Pete Tong will host after parties in Maidstone in association with Clubclass at tge Maidstone TV Studios
Radio 1 is joining up with ClubClass to bring you the the biggest line up in
ClubClass history held at the UK’s largest TV studio, and it will be broadcast to the world live on Radio 1
