Led Zeppelin are being rumoured to be playinging the Bonnaroo Festival in the US this year. The Daily Mirror has printed the story that they will play the festival which runs from 12th June 2008 to 15th June 2008 in Tennessee.

The rumour started after Led Zeppelin played the hugely anticipated reunion concert at the O2 Arena in London in December.

The PR company for Led Zepplin have quashed these rumours but they still persist.

The Mirror quote an insider who says

“This is the news that will drive their fans absolutely wild.
t”They have been bombarding their website to get back together for good but only Robert Plant wasn’t keen to commit.

“Now he’s had a change of heart and if it goes well they are also talking about touring.”

The huge success of the reunion concert confirmed they still have a huge support base, and youngsters are still finding their music and becoming new fans.

The Reunion concert on 10th December 2007 including the surviving members of Led Zeppelin was in add of music executive Ahmet Ertegün,
The concert was to help raise money for the Ahmet Ertegün Education Fund, which pays for university scholarships in the UK, US and Turkey. The demand was huge with over 1 million people applying for tickets and on the black markets some tickets changed hands for over £10,000

The return got rave review, UK music paper the NME said

“What they have done here tonight is proof they can still perform to the level that originally earned them their legendary reputation…We can only hope this isn’t the last we see of them.”
