Glastonbury Festival Tickets Application Deadline Announced
Micheal Eavis organiser of the Glastonbury Festival has confirmed that again people interested in going to the Glastonbury Festival 2008 must register their interest next month ( Febuary 2008) to be in with a chance of getting tickets for Glastonbury.
The ticket registration window opens at 0900 on 1 February and closes at midnight on 29 February. Applications can be sent via the Glastonbury festival website or by visiting Millets Camping Shops.
Glastonbury Festival Registration does not guarantee a ticket, but if you do not register you will not be able to apply for tickets when they go on sale on 6th April 2008.
When submitting their application they must also provide an passport photo, all in readiness for when tickets go on sale on 6th April 2008. The Photo ID tickets were launched last year to combat ticket touts, and it has been deemed a success. Each ticket will have the purchasers photograph on them and will not be transferable. Although when talking to the BBC Micheal Eavis conceded that “it is a tedious business, but people appreciate why we’re doing it.”
Also he advised that the quality of the photos will be improved “”The only thing is some of the photographs weren’t quite good enough so we’re sharpening up the pictures.””
Mr Eavis gave a clue on the Glastonbury 2008 Line Up but teasingly saying “
I’m putting on a black American headliner who’s absolutely terrific.” He is looking to attract more young festival goers, The Glastonbury Rumour is that the act he is discussing is Kanye West.
Other Glastonbury Line Gossip is that Mr Eavis would like Amy Winehouse to perform.
Last year over 400,000 people applied for tickets when there was only 137,500 available. The fight on touts is in Mr Eavis words “absolutely essential” and he would stop running the festival if he thought the touts problem could not be solved.
Efestivals website have suggested that the Glastonbury line up could include Kylie Minogue and Radiohead. Glastonbury Festival 2008 takes place from Friday 27th June 2008 to Sunday 29th June 2008 at Worthy Farm.

I so hope Kanye West does play, I dont want to see Amy Winehouse, she has been disappointing each time I saw her last year.
Good to hear they are going to try to cater for the younger audiences, although Sunday night is traditionally a legends night, would kylie fit this bill?
So who do you think will be on the line up who do you want to see play glasto.
