Gatecrasher Festival Line Up announced and the Prodigy are to headline.
Superclub Gatecrasher have announced the first acts for their Gatecrasher Weekend Summer Sound System 2008, and old skool techno superstars The Prodigy are to headline.
The gatecrasher festival will be taking place in Northampton, after last years event took place in Leeds. The event will be extended to a two day event. The dates for your diary are Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th May 2008.

The Prodigy who are still huge music festival favourites will be appearing at Gatecrasher in what will one of only 4 appearance for the Essex Boys. The Prodigy who have a huge back catalogue of hits including Charley, and Firestarter. They will also air new material for the up for it Gatecrasher crowd. The Prodigy will play on the Saturday 24th May 2008.
Also lined up to appear are CSS and Dizee Rascal, . Brazilian post punks CSS are set to play on the same day as the Prodigy with Dizzee Rascal appearance day to be confirmed.
The gatecrasher event returned again in 2007 after a few years off, and this years event is set to be their biggest yet, with over 200 DJ’s and live acts across 10 arenas and 2 days.

Background information on Gatecrasher
Gatecrasher (later Crasher) is a dance music event formerly held at the venue Gatecrasher 1, previously Republic, in Sheffield, England. Its organisers were Simon Raine, Simon Oates and (until 2004) Scott Bond.
Gatecrasher has held several extremely successful large events including Summer Sound System (40,000 Capacity), Gatecrasher NEC (15,000 Capacity), Crasher N/Ice (at the Nottingham Ice Arena) (7,500 Capacity), Gatecrasher Sound System (Australia) and Fort Dance in Russia (40,000 Capacity). The promoters also ran a popular Gatecrasher night for one year at Eden in Ibiza during the summer of 2000 (This has been revived for 2006/7 with the award winning “Gatecrasher Ibiza Live” parties held once again at Eden (nightclub), San Antonio.
The Gatecrasher brand is well known throughout the dance music scene, mainly due to a large number of compilation CDs released on the Sony offshoot label INCredible. It has featured such editions as Black, Red, Wet, Disco-tech, Global Sound System and National Anthems.
