The Reading Festival and Leeds Festival will be headlined by three American acts they organisers of the festivals has confirmed.
Melvin Benn has confirmed he has booked the acts but was unwilling to announce who they are at this stage. If you think you know who they are please comment below.
Last year US act Smashing Pumpkins were one of the headliners, they is a reading festival rumour that rage against the machine will be one of those US headliners.

The Isle of Wight Festival 2008 has added to an already fantastic line up. New acts added today include Amy MacDonald, Starsailor, Newton Faulkner, The Answer, One Night Only, Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong, Blackstone Cherry and the Delays they will all play the 3 day event on the isles on 13th, 14th & 15th June 2008. There is a double eviction on big brother Hijack tonight. The housemates up for eviction are Victor , Jeremy , Liam & Emilia. The favourites to go tonight are Liam and Victor.

The housemates are still recovering from Radio 1 Dj Scott Mills taking over the house and causing mayhem.house.

Liam, Jeremy, Emilia and Victor will all face the public vote this week after being nominated for eviction from the Big Brother Celebrity Hijack house.

All four housemates have seen their chances of victory in the competition hit, with Liam rated at 80/1, Jeremy at 10/1, Emilia priced at 12/1 and Victor at 50/1 with Coral.

This years SXSW Conference will feature the biggest name in country music. Veteran Country music singer Dolly Parton, 61 will play a BMI Show Case at the SXSW in Austin Texas.

Glastonbury Festival will stage an event in Liverpool as part of the City of Culture celebrations, it has been announced.

The union organisers who run the Left Field area of Glastonbury will host an evening of music showcasing local bands on May 14.

The event will also raise funds for an international anti-slavery campaign.

The Left Field is known for mixing music and politics at the world-famous festival.

A LITTLE bit of Glastonbury will be coming to Liverpool as part of the Capital of Culture celebrations, it has been announced.

For the first time ever, organisers of the Left Field area of the famous festival are moving out of Somerset for a special one-off gig.
