Camp Bestival will be with us in 2008, it has been formed from by Rob Da Bank who is also behind the success that is Bestival. Camp Bestival takes place on 18 - 19 - 20 July 2008 at Lulworth Castle, Dorset

‘Camp Bestival’ is a new sister show from the brains behind Bestival. Inspired by the halcyon days of summers past, imagine the 1950s British Holiday Camp with a twist and you’ll get close to what Camp Bestival is all about. Mix in entertainment of the highest order, splendid music, the biggest boutique campsite ever, excellent facilities for the outdoor life and a generous sprinkle of Bestival magic and you’re in our world.

The Shockwaves NME Awards Shows tour 2008 has been announced. The tour will hit Manchester and Glasgow for the first time,
on top of the London dates. The tour will host 32 Nights, over 120 bands across 3 cities.

Conor McNicholas NME editor said: ” For the last few years I’ve spoken to music fans across the UK who have – despite the excitement of the Shockwaves NME Awards Tour – eyed the London Shows jealously and complained about the focus on the capital. I wanted to change that and finally we can now bring this celebration of live music to both Manchester and Glasgow. Doing the gigs is an achievement in itself but doing it with this brilliant line-up is amazing. Today Manchester and Glasgow. Tomorrow, well, who knows where it might end?”

The NME Award hit the Manchester Academy, Academy 2 and Apollo whilst in Glasgow Barrowland, ABC, Classic Grand and Garage play hosts to the NME Tour in February 2008.

Transmission with T Mobile, is a fun live music show on Channel 4. The last show of the series airs on Friday 7th December 2007 at 11:35. The show is an extra special show with the best live performances from the series 2 and series 3 shows. Steve Jones hosts a review of these shows with the best interviews.

The 11 day Liverpool Music Week Festival ends on Sunday at Alma Da Cuba, by this time over 50 events will have been hosted.

On Sunday liverpool singer Candie Payne and the Sense Of Sound Choir will perform tracks, and then the choir will perform well known songs.
Sense of sound have perfromed with Seal, Damon Albarn, Brain Eno and Imogen Heap this year.

Liverpool music events keep on coming with events at these great venues Aintree Pavilion, Liverpool University, Bumper, Alma Da Cuba, Hannah’s Bar, Magnet, Djangos Riff, Barfly, Korova, Metropolitan, Zanzibar, Parr Street, Dragon and Static Gallery.

The winner of the Myspace Battle of the Bands competition for Liverpool Music Week has been announced.

The Band were chuffed to have won. “Thank you to everyone that voted for us, and helped us win the Battle Of The Band Competition. We hope to see you all down at the gig on Thursday for what will be a great night.”

Over 7000 entries were entered including an act from Peru!!! The Winner however are The Other Runners a 5 piece from adptly Liverpool!!

OH MY GOD, I CAN’T BELIEVE IT !!!!! oh yes the organiser of Isle of Wight Festival have confirmed the last headliners for Isle of Wight Festival 2008, and Leeds rockers the Kaiser Chiefs will headline the Friday night ( 13th June 2008) of the festival.
The Kaiser Chiefs join already confirmed headliners The Sex Pistols and The Police.

Kaiser Chiefs are currently one of the top bands in the UK having won 3 x Brit Awards for Best Rock Act, Best Live Act and Best Group plus an NME Award for Best Album. Their debut album “Employment” went 5 time platinum and they hit number one with the single Ruby.
On the Saturday of Isle of Wight festival the sex pistols will mark their 30th anniversary with their brand of anarchy in the UK! Never mind the Bollocks the sex pistols are doing isle of wight.

Radiohead are to tour the UK in 2008, they have already confirmed festival dates in Germany and Denmark, and they have now announced 4 big UK date in June 2008.
The Radiohead UK tour will support their new studio album, “In Rainbow”.

The Wacken Open Air Festival takes place on between 31st July 2008 to 2nd August 2008. Wacken is a small town in Germany with only 3000 inhabitants, but for a week at beginning of August it is home to 30,000 rockers.

well it is 50km North West of Hamburg. Organiser of Wacken have annonced the first few acts for the 2008 Festival.

How to get to Wacken

The easiest way from the UK is to fly to either Airport-Lübeck or Airport-Hamburg and then hire a car to drive to Wacken, you can drive direct to Wacken from Lubeck without going through Hamburg.
