Coldplay have announced a string of UK dates this winter. The band, whose fourth album Viva La Vida is released next month, announced they will be playing 10 arena shows across England and Scotland that will culminate with two nights at London’s O2 Arena.

It has been three years since Coldplay last played in the UK. The last time they performed at London’s Earl’s Court Chris Martin famously boasted to the crowd that his band were going on to play “116 countries” to promote their album X&Y.
