Camp Bestival is official sold out

Camp Bestival Sold Out

Camp Bestival has sold out! All weekend tickets have now been snapped up and only a handful of day tickets are available. So, our brand new ground breaking event that mixes up all the delights of a traditional Great British holiday camp with a large helping of cutting edge festival action, all topped off with a sprinkling of unique Bestival joy, will be enjoyed by a capacity crowd in it’s very first year.

First up, marking the point where the cutting edge meets the real kids, Coldcut legend Jon More will be serving up a unique set of children’s classics featuring Gospel and Hip Hop versions of timeless treats for tots and the young at heart, including a reggae version of ‘This Old Man’! Commenting on the bambino beats outing Jon said “I’ve had this notion of putting together a children’s set for some time and I talked myself into doing it for Camp Bestival. It’ll be all your favourites and more but maybe not the versions you know! Make sure you bring a child or leave your adult self at the tent door!”

Audio-visual whirlwind DJ Yoda will be reprising his jaw-droppingly sublime Magic Cinema Show (which recently enjoyed a sell out run across the country) at Camp Bestival and to celebrate this particular festival showing of his visual tour-de-force there will be special limited edition tubs of DJ Yoda popcorn available for the young’uns in the crowd. Nice.

With Camp Bestival extolling all the joys of camping out, it’s not a surprise that the Boutique Camping has been so popular, so we’ve bagged even more space in the grounds of Lulworth Castle to offer you even more options. With a vast choice that now includes Beach Huts, Bus Beds, Ship’s Cabins, Frontier Wagons, a Tangerine Fields campsite and even more Tipis and Yurts, there’s no excuse not to spend the weekend in style. Plus Camp Bestival will have Posh Wash gas powered showers, with tea and toast while you wait, for a more civilised festival touch.

With Restival proving such a popular destination at last year’s Bestival it’s set to make an appearance at Camp Bestival. The Ultimate in chill-out areas, Restival will feature a beautifully decorated garden area, a 24-hour café, a cinema and some super laidback action to indulge in. And if that’s your kind of thing, then we recommend checking out the Heavenly Healing area where you can be sure of a proper pampering, with Yoga, Shiatsu, Aromatherapy massage and reflexology amongst many other treatments available plus there will be a selection of treatments for children too.

Bestival has always offered a sumptuous selection of food concessions to keep your energy and spirits up and Camp Bestival will be no exception. With Pure Pies, La Grande Bouffe, the solar and wind powered vegetarian café Hurly Burly, Risotto2go, Gujarati Rasoi and The Sea Cow, amongst many, many other stalls, there’s a truly vast choice of delicious nosh available.

There will also be a Happy Campers area with myriad activities to keep the family occupied, Karaoke with a twist featuring Folkaoke, Karauke, and Hip Hop Karaoke, plus a medieval Jousting exhibition and the Dingly Dell Trail. There is also the opportunity to give something back with voluntary work still available with roles including pre-event build (and post event take-down), stewards, runners, ticket rippers, disabled camping attendants, administration roles and our Green Team.

With headline sets for Chuck Berry, The Flaming Lips and Kate Nash plus appearances from dan le sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, DJ Yoda, Coldcut, Billy Bragg, Hercules & Love Affair, Joe Lean & The Jing Jang Jong, The Black Kids and Ebony Bones, amongst many others, lucky ticket holders can expect a weekend of unparalleled bliss in the idyllic surrounds of Lulworth Castle. With a veritable truck-load of attractions that include the likes of The Laughter Library, The World’s Largest Marching Band, Physics In The Field, Balearic Bollywood, The Dingly Dell Trail and Strummerville, it looks set to be a truly majestic weekend of fun for Camp Bestival’s debut outing.

With the sun set to shine throughout the weekend, the inimitable Cuban Brothers will be heading up Camp Bestival’s Blue Coats, alongside the Lost & Found crew adding an extra touch of holiday camp glamour to proceedings. The Blue Coats will be on hand all weekend to ensure you have the best possible time enjoying our extensive program of activities. Camp Bestival also boasts a vast array of incredible family facilities including Restival, Happy Campers, hot showers (with tea & toast while you wait!!) and a dedicated Kids Area that includes maypole dancing, puppet shows, space hoppers, arts and crafts and so much more!

With Bestival already sold out and now Camp Bestival practically full to the brim, those unlucky enough to miss out on a weekend ticket need to be super quick to get their hands on the last few day tickets available or you’ll have to wait for our 2009 events to bask in the warming Bestival glow.
